In Hesse, more adults have been immunized than the current vaccination rate of 61.4 would suggest.

The background to this is that young people have recently been included in the total, but they only received the vaccination offer a month ago.

Based on new studies, the Standing Vaccination Commission (STIKO) issued a general vaccination recommendation for children from twelve to 17 years of age in August.

Previously, only children with a particular risk of infection had been vaccinated, but these were exceptional cases in manageable numbers.

However, the vaccination rate monitoring by the Robert Koch Institute shows that just one month after the new vaccination recommendation, 37.1 percent of all teenagers in Hesse have been vaccinated once, and 24.6 percent twice. For adults, the vaccination rate is 77.2 percent for the single and 72.2 percent for the double vaccinated. The statistics are even better for the elderly: 82.3 of the Hessians who are older than 60 have already received two syringes. With a vaccination campaign week all over Germany, the procrastinators are now to be wooed once again: With numerous offers under the motto #Herewirdimmft, the way to the syringe is made easy in Hesse without prior notification. All offers are available at https://bit.ly/3llCXzf. In schools and citizens' offices, in health offices and mosques, in the cinema,at the blackboards or in the parking lot, from Kassel to Bensheim: the way to the first dose should be as easy as possible for all citizens.

Further restrictions for the unvaccinated are likely

On Tuesday, the Corona cabinet is expected to decide further restrictions for unvaccinated people.

On the one hand, we are talking about the 2-G model for certain locations, according to which visiting a restaurant, for example, would no longer be possible without immune protection.

A test would then no longer be sufficient.

So far, however, the prospect of this has not met with much approval in the catering industry.

Prime Minister Volker Bouffier (CDU) also indicated in the hr summer interview that in the case of high incidences and increased hospital admissions, the 3-G rule would have to be interpreted more strictly.

Then only a fee-based PCR test could allow unvaccinated people to attend various events.

Wiesbaden vaccination center will close soon

All vaccination centers in Hesse will close by the end of September.

The final spurt has already begun in the state capital: The Wiesbaden residents can only be immunized this week in the Rhein-Main Congress Center.

Those who want to vaccinate from the age of twelve receive the first and second vaccination without registration; a prioritization must exist for a third vaccination.

Before the center closes, there is still an action on Friday.

Then a mobile vaccination team will be standing in front of the Äppelallee Center at Äppelallee 69 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Anyone who would like to be vaccinated there can fill out an information sheet today, which is available on the Internet at www.wiesbaden.de/coronavirus.
