"The head of the consular department of the embassy visited the Russian citizen Alexander Franchetti, who was detained in Prague," Bryakin said.

According to him, the Russian embassy "continues to be in contact with him, his relatives and the legal representative of the defense."

Earlier, the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to study the grounds for the detention of a Russian citizen in the Czech Republic on a Ukrainian warrant.

As the representative of the Czech Police Presidium Ondřej Moravchik said earlier, a Russian citizen was detained in Prague under an international arrest warrant issued by Ukraine.
