13 September 2021 A large fire broke out in the former Penicillina factory in Via Tiburtina, in San Basilio. The causes are not yet known, but there is concern about the possible exhalation of toxic fumes.
Several fire brigade teams are at work on site.
The fire would have affected brushwood and waste and, at the moment, there is no news of people involved. The extinguishing operations are in progress and the possible presence of people inside the structure that in the past had been occupied by migrants and homeless people and was then evacuated is being verified.
