Since the announcement of his death on September 8, 2021, the shock has been immense.

Amobé Mévégué was a smuggler, an ambassador of African artists and cultures.

Born in Yaoundé, Cameroon, he had studied cinema.

A man of convictions, he was driven by the values of generosity and solidarity.

From the mid-80s, this champion of Africanity had officiated at the microphone of radio stations Tropiques FM and RFI, before becoming a producer.

Over the past ten years, in addition to his musical broadcasts for France 24 and various media, Amobé Mévégué had founded the pan-African multimedia platform Ubiznews TV, an "infomusement" site accessible in 40 African countries.
