Also, from September 21, flights to Egypt and Turkey from the airports of Pskov, Magadan, Murmansk and Chita will be resumed, the Cabinet said.

Over the past day, 18,178 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Russia, of which the largest number was in Moscow (2022), St. Petersburg (805) and the Moscow region (758).

During this time, 12,469 people recovered, 719 patients died.

The total number of COVID-19 cases registered in the country reached 7,158,248. In total, 6,402,126 patients recovered in Russia, 193,468 people died from complications due to coronavirus infection and concomitant diseases.

According to Rospotrebnadzor, over 184 million laboratory tests for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus have been carried out in the country, more than 1.1 million people remain under medical supervision.

The capital's operational headquarters for control and monitoring of the situation with coronavirus reported that 479 people were hospitalized in Moscow per day.

There are 235 patients on mechanical ventilation.

According to Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of the Capital for Social Development, 5 million people have already received the first component of the coronavirus vaccine in Moscow.

“As of today, 5 million Muscovites have been vaccinated with the first component, which is almost 50% of all able-bodied residents of Moscow.

But there are certain concerns about the structure of the vaccinated - of the total number of vaccinated, only 22% are people over 60 years old, and only one third of the general category are vaccinated.

This is very little, ”she said in an interview with TASS.

Rakova clarified that in Moscow, in the structure of the incidence of COVID-19, the proportion of elderly people is very high compared to other major cities in the world.

According to her, at least 50% of the total flow of hospitalizations, and on average 70%, are elderly people.

“And, unfortunately, three quarters of deaths from COVID-19 are precisely this category of people.

And it is so important that they are not only vaccinated on time, but also revaccinated, ”Rakova emphasized.

She also clarified that in Moscow more than 80% of all medical and pedagogical workers and more than 86% of social workers are vaccinated.

In addition, she stressed that the city authorities do not plan to fully transfer the city's educational institutions to distance learning.

“In some situations, we were faced with a choice not between full-time or distance learning (training. -

), but either an explosive increase in morbidity and, as a result, mortality, or distance education.

As soon as the epidemiological situation allowed, we immediately proceeded to full-time training, ”she explained.

At the same time, Rakova recalled that the coronavirus "has not gone anywhere."

According to her, more than 1% of classes in Moscow schools have been quarantined since the beginning of the new school year due to COVID-19.

“Children go to quarantine as soon as a sick person appears in the classroom.

And now they have the opportunity not to stop training while in quarantine, ”she said.

At the same time, the head of Rosobrnadzor Anzor Muzaev said that in 2022 the USE will be held in the usual format, if there are no next waves of coronavirus.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a conversation with the Paralympians in the Kremlin, noted that many people around him are sick with COVID-19, and did not rule out that he would soon have to quarantine.

“Doctors are studying ... even in my environment, problems arise with this COVID-19.

We need to figure out what is really going on there.

I think I myself will soon have to quarantine.

A lot of people are ill around, ”the Russian leader said.

At the same time, the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov explained that there is no talk of adjusting the schedule of the head of state now, and also said that the president continues to work in an active mode.

Earlier, the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova said that the department assesses the number of tourists infected with coronavirus in Russian resorts as quite large.

She also said that Rospotrebnadzor does not yet see indications for the abolition of the mask regime in the Russian regions.

“This can only be when we stop contracting the new coronavirus infection.

The main tool we have is the vaccine.

It is necessary to use it, then this moment will not be far off, ”she stressed.
