September 13, 2021 "Last quarter the electricity bill increased by 20%, next quarter it will increase by 40%. These things must be said. We have a duty to address them." This is said by the Minister of Ecological Transition Roberto Cingolani, who spoke in Genoa at a conference of the CGIL Liguria.

According to the minister, behind the increase is the increase in the "price of gas at the international level. And the price of the CO2 produced also rises, which - adds Cingolani - is worth about 20% of the global increase".

'' Nobody disputes that the ecological transition must be made as soon as possible, without delay and with enormous sacrifices. I really believe in the ecological transition, but it cannot be done at the expense of vulnerable groups ".

Then, added Cingolani, "it happens because the price of gas at the international level rises. If energy increases too much in cost, our companies lose competitiveness and citizens, especially those with lower income, struggle further to pay for primary goods such as energy and gas. These things must be considered as important as the ecological transition. As long as I have the honor and the burden of occupying this position I will do everything to ensure that the two are never separated. We must remember that there is a social transition that must go on. hand in hand with the ecological transition. ''

Consumer Union: cost per family € 247

"An increase of this magnitude, if it were really confirmed, would be lethal for families and businesses. For a typical family it would be equivalent to 247 euros on an annual basis". To deal in the pockets of Italians struggling with a possible increase in electricity bills of 40% in the next quarter, as announced by the Minister of Innovation Cingolani, is Marco Vignola, head of the energy sector of the National Consumers Union.

Nuclear and meeting with Count

The

nuclear power should not be taboo

, especially now that "fourth generation technologies are emerging", declared Minister Cingolani, with a degree in physics, last September 2, arousing much controversy and a request for clarification "on projects and policies for the environment and transition ecological, also in the light of the minister's recent statements "by the leader of the M5S, Giuseppe Conte, in a meeting scheduled for September 14.

In Rome, in front of the Pantheon, a flash mob was held, followed by a press conference by Angelo Bonelli , national co-spokesperson of Europa Verde, to ask for the resignation of the Minister of Ecological Transition Roberto Cingolani on the occasion of his meeting with Giuseppe Conte.
