Egyptian President receives Israeli Prime Minister

Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi received today in Sharm El-Sheikh the Israeli Prime Minister, "Naftali Bennett", in the presence of Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abbas Kamel, head of the General Intelligence, Dr. In Cairo.

The official spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency stated that a session of bilateral talks was held between the two sides, during which they discussed developments in bilateral relations in various fields, as well as the latest developments on the regional and international arenas, especially with regard to the Palestinian issue.

President Sisi affirmed Egypt's support for all efforts to achieve comprehensive peace in the Middle East, based on the two-state solution and on the basis of international legitimacy resolutions, which contributes to enhancing security and prosperity for all peoples of the region.

Al-Sisi pointed to the importance of the international community’s support for Egypt’s efforts to rebuild the Palestinian territories, in addition to the need to maintain calm between the Palestinian and Israeli sides, especially with Egypt’s continuous moves to ease tension between the two sides in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
