Just before eight o'clock on Monday evening, a man was stabbed at Kristineberg in Borås.
He himself has told the police that another man cut him in the back and then left the scene.
The injured man, who is in his 40s, has been taken to hospital by ambulance.
The police are now looking for the perpetrator, and have cordoned off the site for a technical investigation.
The incident is classified as attempted murder.
