A truck driver from Nice, was arrested Friday evening on the A8, between Muy and Fréjus, in the Var, by the motorized squad of the gendarmerie.
Several motorists had pointed out to them this truck swerving and zigzagging on the highway.
During his check-up, the 44-year-old man initially claimed to be rolling a cigarette with his knees, but various tests revealed that he had consumed alcohol and cannabis.
He had 0.5 mg of alcohol per liter of blood, and above all his driver's license was suspended for six months.
He was taken into custody and will be tried by the Draguignan Criminal Court on March 10, 2022.
