"The Political Committee of the Sudanese and Russian Foreign Ministries will meet in Moscow on September 21," the source said.

It is noted that Sharif will come to the capital of Russia as chairman of the Russian-Sudanese commission.

Also, the agency, citing a source in the Sudanese defense department, reported that the Sudanese authorities expect to amend the agreement on the construction of a Russian naval base in the Red Sea.

On July 1, Russian President Vladimir Putin submitted for ratification to the State Duma an agreement between Russia and Sudan on the creation of a logistics center for the Russian Navy.

Later, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, commenting on the situation with the agreement on the Navy base on the Red Sea, said that Sudan is also preparing to ratify the agreement.
