A week after the coup d'état which overthrew Alpha Condé, the National Committee for Rally and Development (CNRD) will meet "

all the living forces of the nation

", according to its press release: political parties, civil society organizations, religious leaders, diplomatic representations or even mining operators… A marathon program that raises expectations, but also questions.

Neither mail, nor personalized invitation… The actors concerned were informed via the CNRD press release, reproduced in the media.

These consultations described as “

inclusive

 ” are “

an excellent thing

” for Ousmane Kaba, president of the PADES party and candidate for the last presidential election.

“

In accordance with what the head of the junta said, he wants inclusive consultations.

Which goes in the direction of appeasement in our country,

 ”he said.

He will participate, therefore, just like Cellou Dalein Diallo of the UFDG, even if "

it will not be the right format to address substantive issues

", says his chief of staff, "

it will be a first contact

 ".

For its part, the RPG, the party of the overthrown president Alpha Condé, must meet this Monday before making a decision on a possible participation.

We are eager to learn more about the CNRD's strategy and roadmap

," said Alseiny Sall of the Guinean Organization for the Defense of Human Rights.

But he expresses doubts about the device:

Perhaps these consultations are carried out in order to take into account the concerns of each other for the development of the roadmap. It is something that we appreciate. But at the same time, I don't think that the process will be really effective for having serious and concrete discussions, because when we say "political parties", there are so many in Guinea, when we say "organizations of society. civil ", it's so vague, there are so many ...

 "

It would have been necessary to make a precise list of participants and devote a whole day to each component

", regrets an economic actor.

The program provides two-hour slots for each category of actor over four days.

It will be impossible to respect the timing

", already estimates a person in charge of the mining sector.
