George Kordahi's first comment after his appointment as Minister of Information in Lebanon

The new Lebanese Minister of Information, George Kordahi, confirmed that he will not talk about any matters related to his position as Minister of Information, until he meets Lebanese President General Michel Aoun and Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and officially takes over his duties.

Qardahi said, during an interview with the media today, after his arrival at Rafic Hariri Airport in Beirut: “A government came and gave it a chance. The country has reached its bottom, hearing shameful comments.

In response to the comments and tweets circulated on social media, saying that Qardahi from the “Who Will Win the Million” program to a minister in the “Who will steal the million” government? The appointed minister called on the Lebanese to calm down, refusing to make any statement about his vision and perception of his new duties before Meeting the head of state and government and receiving him to the ministry.

Qardahi called on the media not to host politicians who promise us hell, describing Lebanon as in a state of emergency landing and that it is their duty to send a breath of hope and positivity to the people.

The new Lebanese Minister of Information, George Kordahi, denied the end of his media career, stressing in this regard that the media is his job and his profession.

He continued: "My media career has not ended, but now there are no programmes. Everyone must cooperate, especially in the media, in order to send hope again to people. We will not work miracles, but we will try."

Qardahi stated that he was informed of the decision to appoint him to the new Lebanese government in Dubai after his arrival from the Portuguese city of Lisbon, in which he recorded a special episode of his program “Who Will Win a Million” last Wednesday evening, which will be shown on September 18, in celebration of the thirtieth anniversary of the founding of the MBC Group.
