China News Agency, Bangkok, September 11 (Reporter Wang Guoan) The Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department of the Ministry of Interior of Thailand stated on the 11th that due to the impact of heavy rainfall in the past few days, 21 provinces in northern, northeastern, eastern, central and southern Thailand have experienced floods and flash floods. A total of 209 villages in 54 counties were affected. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.

  According to reports, with the exception of Prachin and Sa Kaeo where the floods are still serious, disasters in other regions have begun to ease.

The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation has coordinated relevant departments to assess losses and provide assistance to the people affected by the disaster.

  On the same day, the Thai Meteorological Department issued a forecast saying that due to the influence of the strong tropical storm "Conson", there will be heavy rains in the northern, northeastern, eastern and central parts of Thailand in the next two days.

  The weather forecast pointed out that on September 12, 11 provinces including Nakhon Phanom in the northeast of Thailand and 3 provinces including Rayong in the east will usher in heavy rain.

On the 13th, there will be heavy rainfall in 8 provinces including Phrae in the north, 15 provinces including Sakon Nakhon in the northeast, 8 provinces including Nakhon Sawan in the middle, and 6 provinces including Prachin in the east.

  The Thai Meteorological Department also warned that due to the strong southwest monsoon that is sweeping the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, local waves are expected to be as high as 2 to 3 meters.

All ships should be cautious about going out to sea in the past two days, especially small boats should stay in the port until the 14th of this month.
