Diada The independence movement revolts against Oriol Junqueras to the cry of "traitor"
The mobilizations of the pro-independence left in the late afternoon were again marked by altercations in front of the
Barcelon Police Headquarters
, where a large group of people began to throw objects at the building, forcing a dozen of
Mossos d'Esquadra
vans
to shield the area when the
ANC
demonstration
had practically left the Via Laietana through which it had run.
Even so, a group of protesters gathered in front of the police headquarters to throw bottles, bars or paint at the riot police, which took several hours to clear the area.
Shouting "out with the occupation forces" and "whore Spain", some young people tried to lock up the agents by dismantling the police fences, so the riot police responded with charges.
They were the most serious incidents of a day in which the formations of the pro-independence left, led by the
CUP
, staged a march in which the European and Spanish flags were burned - as has become customary.
The novelty this time was that a giant photograph of Presidents Pedro Sánchez and Pere Aragonès, immortalized at their June meeting, was also set on fire.
As in the ANC demonstration, the frontal rejection of the dialogue table flew over the protest of the pro-independence left, led by a banner with the slogan: “Neither pacts nor resignations; the struggle is the only way". Thousands of people walked the streets of the center of Barcelona chants of "cane, cane against Spain" and "
Esquerra
and
JxCat
, patience is over."
The march concluded in the Plaza Comercial, where on a stage very harsh proclamations were read against the president of the Generalitat especially: "We have a government that calls itself republican and that kneels, with a table of traitors." "If the traitors who govern us want a dialogue table, let them take it to Urquinaona and we will negotiate there," read a gigantic
CDR
sheet at the
beginning of the demonstration.
All a declaration of intentions for a protest that started precisely in this square turned into a "symbol of dignity as a people."
That is, in the square where the most serious altercations occurred after the
procés
sentence
, in October for almost a week and with dozens of injuries.
Of that wave of violence yesterday, only embers were seen: the harassment of the Police Headquarters, which the independence movement is obsessed with removing from the center of the capital.
