A sad incident occurred when a man who was volunteering at a middle school in the United States died while protecting students.

On the 9th local time, foreign media such as Fox News reported that 45-year-old Ashley Diaz, a traffic safety instructor at Stanley Middle School in California, died in a car accident in front of the school on the 7th.

The accident happened at school time when children were pouring out of school.

While Diaz was watching the students returning home, a car suddenly appeared on the road in front of the school.

Diaz, who saw a car that was going fast with no sign of stopping, ran without hesitation and pushed the students on the road.

Shortly thereafter, Mr. Diaz was hit by a car and fell under the car.

Paramedics at the scene attempted first aid and transported Diaz to the hospital, but he died during treatment.

A graduate of Stanley Middle School, Diaz has worked as a technology professional in Silicon Valley.

He loved his alma mater, and it is known that whenever he visits his parents' home in his hometown, he spends time doing volunteer work for children.

The students paid tribute to Diaz by bringing flowers and letters to the site of the accident.

Diaz's mother, Gloria, wept, saying, "A parent came to me. My son saved his daughter. He was a hero until the last minute."

The driver of the car that caused the accident is said to be a family member of a Stanley Middle School student.

It has not yet been decided which charges will apply to the driver.

This is a 'news pick'.
