Since May, three people have been shot dead and a fourth seriously injured in Linköping.

The investigations are in full swing, but who or who is behind the fatal shootings is still unknown to the police.

- We can see that all three crimes take place in the same environments, so one of our theories is that there may be a connection, says Jan Staaf, crime commissioner at the serious crime group in Linköping in a press release.

On the evening of 19 May, a young man was murdered at Solvendan in the Berga district and the perpetrator was seen fleeing by bicycle.

Releases image of suspected shooter

On August 5, two teenage boys were shot at Berga center.

Both were seriously injured and one of them died later.

Here, too, the perpetrator fled by bicycle and the police are now releasing a picture of the suspected shooter in the hope of getting more tips.

- We know that he is seen stopping his weapon after the shots and fleeing on an electric bicycle with very strong tires on Söderleden in the direction of Brokindsleden and Brasken's bridge.

But then we do not know where he is going.

We also do not know if he was alone in carrying out the crime or if he received any form of help, says Jan Staaf.

The latest murder took place in the middle of the day on August 25, when a man was shot to death at a restaurant in the center of Skäggetorp.

- We have indications that two perpetrators leave the restaurant on the ground floor and run towards the parking area under the shopping center. Possibly they got on bicycles and moved in the direction of Stiglötsgatan. There we are very interested in more observations, says Jan Staaf.
