The schools have reported several incidents to the police, but the police have difficulty acting as it is not illegal to make contact.

- It is not illegal to ask a child what their names are and how old they are, but I fully understand that these are very unpleasant situations.

But that makes it difficult for us to intervene, says Alexandra Norén who is the municipal police in Perstorp.

Now the schools will staff up for the breaks and not let the students leave the schoolyard alone.

On occasions when students, for example, have to change schools to have handicrafts or leisure time, they will take a bus.

- The police increase the presence in Perstorp for this reason, but we do not have the opportunity to have police on site throughout the school day.

The police are concerned that the perceived security is drastically reduced because of this, says Alexandra Norén.
