According to the website of the Saudi newspaper, Sabq, the security guard, Abdul Rahman, said, during his speech to the “Yahla” program on the Gulf Rotana channel: At first, the arrival came and was adhering to the precautionary measures of the muzzle, and the application of our trust, and he wanted to use the self-service device for the “Absher” system in the second floor, and we allowed him so.
He added: On his way to the device, he passed a number of booths in which there were female employees, and the nature of their work was to give the customer a small paper containing samples of perfume as marketing.
He continued: The expatriate came down from the second floor and returned to the booths, and started moving from one booth to another, and at the first booth he started talking on the basis that he was buying, and moved to the second and then the third, until one of them arrived and was very late, until my colleague Abdul Rahman Al-Husseini noticed him, and asked the employee about the reason He was late, and I told him that the arrival was asking her for the "number", so my colleague tried calmly to hand him over to the mall management.
The security guard, Abdul Rahman Al-Husseini, said: I was doing my job wandering inside the mall, and as I was passing by the kiosk, the incoming came to my attention saying “Number” and I was beside him, but he did not know I was there.
He added: I asked the employee: Is there a problem?
She said: Yes, this occupied me asking for the number, so I asked the newcomer what he meant by the number, and he said the number on the paper, I checked the paper but I did not find any number.
He continued: I asked him to accompany me to the mall administration, to meet the general manager, and then the employee would attend and write a report of what happened as a procedure followed, and the case would be transferred to the security patrols or the employee would waive, and it would suffice to take a report on the expatriate.
Al-Husseini indicated that the disposal of such cases is done by handing over the accused to the mall management, and in the event that another party is a “plaintiff” and wants to file a complaint, the case is transferred to the security patrols, and if the “plaintiff” party does not wish to complain, the accused is signed on A pledge not to enter the mall at all, and if he tries to enter the mall a second time, his subject will turn to criminal investigation.
He continued: The entry ban applies to any person who violates, whether a Saudi or a foreigner, and the system has previously been applied to Saudis, and our goal is to maintain the safety of the mall.
Al-Husseini confirmed, saying: I withdrew the arrival calmly, and I dealt with him in a respectful manner, and I spoke to him kindly, and he told me that he did not do wrong, and when we reached the stairs to go up to the second floor, and I was holding his hand, I was surprised that he pushed me hard, and fled towards the gate, and I called my colleague Abdul Rahman And I told him: He does not come out of the gate, and we took control of him, praise be to God, despite the resistance of the arrival to us.
The video clip, which was documented by a surveillance camera in the mall, showed the reaction of the security guard when he saw a large-bodied arrival, who was said to be an Afghan, after he harassed the girl, heading towards the door to escape from it, so he carried the chair and directed it towards him forcefully to obstruct his escape.
As a result, the harasser fell to the ground, as the security guard quickly closed the door of the mall and helped his colleague to tighten their grip on him.
The method of arresting the accused by the security guard sparked widespread controversy on the communication platforms in Saudi Arabia, where a number of activists and observers praised the guard's behavior, including those who blamed him for what he did, especially after hitting the expatriate with the chair to prevent him from escaping.
