The Emirates Foundation for School Education has identified a number of procedures to deal with behavioral violations in public schools and private schools that implement the Ministry's curriculum at the state level.

Finally, the institution introduced new standards and controls to the student behavior list for the current academic year, which included the “presence/distance education” education systems, according to which it identified four degrees of violations, and the mechanism for dealing with them by school administrations.

According to the regulation circulated by the Foundation to all government schools, to enter into force the current academic year (2021-2022), four degrees of violations have been identified that govern students of in-person education and distance education, which are “simple violations - medium severity - serious - very serious.” ».

According to the Regulation of Student Behavior Management for the academic year 2021-2022, in minor first-degree violations, four degrees of behavior are partially or completely deducted, according to the frequency of the violation, and verbal warning is satisfied the first time, and then inform the guardian, and issue a written warning in the event Non-response, a case study by the counsellor, applying strategies to reduce negative behavior, and transferring the violation to the second degree.

Eight degrees are deducted for the student within the second degree violations, and in the event of repeated negative behavior, the student is suspended from one to three days inside the school, assigned study duties, and a final warning is given.

In the third dangerous degree, 12 marks from the student’s behavior score are immediately deducted, and in the event of a repetition, the student will be suspended from study and transferred to the competent authority to receive a specialized program for behavior modification that extends from one to two weeks.

In the second repetition, a decision is issued by the Behavior Management Committee to arrest the student and ask the guardian to seek to transfer him to another school, and the procedures for repeating negative behavior of a dangerous degree amount to the final suspension from government schools.

As for the fourth degree, which is very dangerous, it includes summoning the guardian immediately, suspending the student until the investigation is completed, holding the student and his guardian responsible for any damages resulting from the violations, transferring the student to rehabilitation programs approved in specialized institutions, stopping the student’s enrollment from schools, and complete deprivation of School enrollment, transition to continuing education or homes.

According to the regulation, a score of 60% is the expected minimum for the behavior score, and the student is given an opportunity to compensate for what was settled during the academic year from the balance of his quarterly behavioral scores, by improving the grades of outstanding behavior, or by not repeating the violation, and his commitment to positive behavior, and in the event that If the student’s behavior score drops to less than 60% at the end of the semester, his certificate is withheld, and the case is submitted to the Behavior Management Committee, to approve the semester corrective actions that are binding on the learner. The regulation also specified the role of the guardian in the regulation of students' behavior in in-person and distance education for the current academic year. Parents must submit a written pledge to the school on the approved form, acknowledging their knowledge of the provisions of the Compulsory Education Law and the decisions issued thereunder, and pledge to continue sending the student to school during the compulsory education stage, and to mobilize a safe family environment for his children to achieve the objectives of the regulation.Among his roles identified in the regulation is also to stimulate positive behaviors, his pledge to encourage and care, to ensure that the behavioral problems of his children are reduced, and to attend meetings and educational and awareness events whenever called upon by the school.

As for the student, he bears the responsibility for his learning and his behavior, and he has positive attitudes towards his learning, he adheres to positive behavior and seeks to achieve standards of outstanding behavior, and he is committed to respecting the laws contained in the regulations, and he deals with them as a responsible person.

He also respects others, and actively participates in school life, to prove himself and develop his mental and physical abilities and talents.

According to the regulation, a score of 60% is the expected minimum for the behavior score, and gives the student an opportunity to make up for what has been deducted.
