OK at Teg in Umeå is now open without staff between 21.00-06.00, the rest of the day there is staff.
- You enter the store with your phone and bank ID and then you can shop even in the middle of the night, says David Persson at OK Västerbotten.
Unmanned self-service stores already exist today in several holes in the county, mainly inland, but they can become more numerous.
OK now hopes that the experiment will turn out so well that you can open unmanned stores at the vending machines for petrol and diesel you have in the county.
-We have 15 vending machines where we have an existing structure. Maybe you can use a container or a larger building that is already in place. Then we could open a self-service store there and sell food and other things, says David Persson at OK Västerbotten
