On Monday, production resumed at the factory in Oskarshamn, after a week of production stoppage.

The reason for the stop was the global shortage of semiconductors.

But already today (Thursday) production is stopped again, which Oskarshamnstidningen was the first to tell.

The production stop will apply until Wednesday next week, says Mikael Johansson, chairman of IF Metall at Scania.

How many are affected?

- It is the largest part of the factory, of course.

The production staff above all.

How are your members affected by this?

- My experience is that there have not been so many questions, no major worries.

We have a good dialogue with the company, says Mikael Johansson.

Reduced pace

The reason is a global shortage of semiconductors, components used in truck electronics, says Karin Hallstan, press manager at Scania.

- It's extremely frustrating.

We have a lot to do but do not get the components we need to produce complete trucks, she says.

The stop tomorrow does not apply to the Scania factories in Södertälje and Luleå - where they have only slowed down their production evenly.

In Oskarshamn, they slow down by producing 100 percent some days and zero others.
