08 September 2021 A reform is on the way in the Italian civil process. It is the "court for individuals, minors and families" to which "the civil, criminal and supervisory powers of the juvenile court" and all matters relating to the family, separations or divorce will be transferred.

This is what is foreseen in an amendment just deposited in the Senate Justice Committee by the rapporteurs Fiammetta Modena (Fi), Anna Rossomando (Pd) and Julia Unterberger (Svp) at the end of a meeting at the ministry.

The amendment will be voted on in the Senate between this afternoon and tomorrow. It was the same minister Cartabia who presented a reform amendment in recent days.

"The establishment of the court for the family and minors is an important step, after the unification of the rite that the government had proposed with its amendments. It also makes it possible to truly equalize the rights of all minors, including those born out of wedlock. , assuring all the guarantees. As rapporteurs we have collected and reformulated proposals presented by almost all the groups ".

Rossomando (Pd) told Ansa. As for the amendments to the part concerning the rite, Rossomando added that "the Democratic Party is working to ensure that the procedure ensures the protection of victims of violence, both direct and assisted". Between today and tomorrow the Senate Justice Committee will turn the amendments.
