Gasoline prices in Russia decreased by 0.3%

It is noted that at the end of last year, gasoline prices in the country increased significantly below inflation (4.9%) - by 2.5%.

The cost of diesel fuel in the week from August 31 to September 6 fell by 0.1% after rising by 0.1% in the past two weeks.

Since the beginning of 2021, diesel fuel has risen in price by 4.1%.

Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Energy announced the end of the seasonal peak in demand for gasoline.

In July, Stanislav Mitrakhovich, a leading expert of the National Energy Security Fund, lecturer at the Financial University under the Government of Russia, in an interview with FBA "Economics Today" said that Russia's return to the pre-pandemic level in terms of oil production will depend on the viability of the stopped fields.
