Galloping on the golden waterway of the motherland's aerospace dream

——Remember my country's third-generation aerospace ocean-going survey ship Yuanwang-6

At 11:01 a.m. on September 7, the Long March 4C carrier rocket carrying a hyperspectral observation satellite (Gofen-5 02) was ignited and lifted off at the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center.

After the rocket flew steadily for a period of time, the Yuanwang 6 ship, which was on standby in the predetermined waters of the Indian Ocean, steadily captured the target, took over the land and sea measurement and control baton, and successfully completed the measurement and control support for many key actions such as the separation of the star and the arrow.

On this day, it has been 21 days since the Yuanwang 6 ship re-executed the sea measurement and control mission.

After completing the orbital measurement and control task, Yuanwang No. 6 ship adjusted its course and rushed to the scheduled point for the next mission to stand by.

The Yuanwang 6 ship is my country’s third-generation aerospace ocean-going survey ship.

This time they rushed to the scheduled waters of the Indian Ocean to perform multiple maritime measurement and control missions. The total voyage will exceed 16,000 nautical miles, and the offshore operation will reach 76 days!

Since its delivery in 2008, the Yuanwang 6 ship has bravely entered the deep ocean, creating records of the farthest position, the highest latitude, and the shortest time to capture the target among the wave crests and valleys.

Recalling these bright moments, the captain Yang Jiao repeatedly sighed: "We have caught up with the best era and can drive the most advanced survey ship on the golden waterway of the motherland's aerospace dream."

Polish the "Golden Sign" of the marine measurement and control trump card

At 9:22 on June 17, the Shenzhou XII spacecraft carrying three astronauts at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in China ignited the passion of the Chinese people and tightened the nerves of all aerospace science and technology personnel.

Thousands of miles away from the launch site, the salty and wet Pacific monsoon was wrapped in waves and beating on the Yuanwang 6 ship waiting in the predetermined sea area.

"We are the only monitoring and control point on the sea, assuming the important responsibility of escorting the Shenzhou spacecraft into orbit. For manned spaceflight, life is a matter of life!" Before the mission began, Liu Tongling, the person in charge of the measurement and control system of Yuanwang 6 ship, gave the final touch to the researchers. mobilization.

For a person from Yuanwang who has participated in more than 50 maritime measurement and control missions, he understands that the word "only" is not only the "golden sign" that the organization has given Yuanwang 6 ship, the maritime measurement and control trump card, but also the superiors for The high trust and recognition of Yuanwang 6 ship.

"The target is about to level out!"

"Yangtze River No. 6 found the target!"

A series of actions unfold like flowing clouds and flowing water.

Yuanwang 6 completed the 70th maritime measurement and control mission with impeccable performance.

"Yangtze River No. 6 found the target." In the eyes of ordinary people, it is just a simple password, but it has a different meaning to Yuanwang people.

On September 26, 2008, in a certain area of the Western Pacific Ocean, dispatcher Xu Zhengfeng shouted the first dispatching command in the history of the Yuanwang 6 ship-"Yangtze River 6 found the target."

Recalling the first mission, the thrilling scene still left Xu Zhengfeng, who is now the deputy captain, with lingering fears.

Three hours before the mission, a major radar malfunction occurred.

Emergency rescuers found the fault point accurately from 12 sets of equipment and more than 300 cables in only 15 minutes.

Afterwards, the crew looked for tools and stripped the cables, fearing that time was too late, they would bite them with their teeth and strip them with their hands. Finally, the repairs were completed in the last 30 seconds before the mission.

On that day, the radar firmly locked on the target.

Few people know that the five young engineers in the radar took turns holding the cables against the radiation, and followed the radar to rotate together.

"At that moment, I really felt that I was closely connected with the national mission." Xu Zhengfeng said.

Make the "Maritime Science City" more shining

33 expeditions to the ocean, the cumulative voyage can circle the earth's equator 22 times, 70 times successfully completed the maritime measurement and control tasks represented by Shenzhou, Beidou... The loyalty to the people is also the pursuit of continuous innovation in measurement and control technology.

During the construction of the Yuanwang ship, the scientific and technical personnel integrated the latest technologies in the fields of aerospace measurement and control, marine meteorology, ship power, and ocean-going communications. Therefore, the Yuanwang ship is also affectionately called the "Marine Science City."

However, with the rapid development of science and technology, the aura of the "Maritime Science City" has once become a pressure and burden for the new crew.

How to make the aura of the "Maritime Science City" more shining is a new mission given to my country's third-generation aerospace ocean-going survey ship Yuanwang 6 by the times.

To this end, Yuanwang 6 has established multiple innovation platforms such as the measurement and control support laboratory, the "creation" team, and the "source" power studio. A series of new technologies and new inventions have been widely used.

"UXB" is an antenna radar on the Yuanwang 6 ship. It took 6 years from the installation of the equipment to the first measurement and control mission.

As a deep space detection device, UXB is characterized by high frequency and long detection distance, but the corresponding beam becomes particularly narrow.

Improving the capture efficiency has higher requirements for the various abilities and qualities of scientific and technical personnel.

In order to master the equipment as soon as possible, the researchers have to work overtime, research the principles, enter the factory, and ask experts, which has become a compulsory course.

On July 23, 2020, the world's attention was focused on China's Wenchang Space Launch Site, and the prelude to my country's first Mars exploration mission kicked off.

Yuanwang No. 6 ship is the most critical part of this maritime measurement and control.

In that mission, the Yuanwang 6 ship, as the first rod of land-sea relay measurement and control, found and accurately captured the target in time, and completed the rocket measurement and orbiter measurement and control at the end of the first stage of the rocket and the first stage of the second stage with full marks. Task.

"Among many radar antennas, the UXB radar is like a sniper rifle, allowing us to accurately hit the 10th ring." Although nearly a year has passed, Wei Liankui, a participant in the mission, is still fresh in his memory.

Nowadays, the research team with post-80s and post-90s as the main body has taken up the important task given by the times, and the new generation of "Marine Science City" is setting sail in the turbulent spring breeze.
