• Events The Police review the security cameras to identify the eight hooded men of the homophobic aggression in Malasaña

The National Police is

investigating the social networks of the young man

who was the victim of a homophobic attack last Monday in Malasaña to try to find out if he could have been harassed, threatened or insulted by any person or group in recent months.

One of the objectives is to try to discover if the attack could be as a result of

a revenge or an act planned

by a comment written in one of his accounts or profiles that he used frequently.

This is

one of the lines of investigation that the Police maintain to identify the perpetrators of the

homophobic

assault

on the 20-year-old in the Madrid neighborhood of Malasaña, when eight hooded men marked the word "fag" with a knife on a woman's buttocks. victim.

The young man, of Spanish nationality, denounced that, after 5:00 p.m., eight people assaulted him on the run in the front door of his house with insults such as "disgusting", "eat shit" or "fag".

They later threw him to the ground, where

they cut off his lip and recorded the homophobic insult.

Investigators are collecting information and completing the police report to locate the group, who

wore black sweatshirts and were hooded and with a mask

, as stated in the complaint that the young man filed hours later at the Center

Police Station

.

The police report includes

photographs of the victim's wounds and video recordings of the

nearby

areas

where it occurred.

The agents are analyzing this evidence, mainly the footage, to try to get any new leads.

At the moment it

is unknown if the attackers were able to record or take photos of the victim during their action,

which is being investigated as a hate crime as well as another injury crime.

The place where the event occurred has not been disclosed, nor has the victim been able to meet his assailants in order not to hinder the investigation.

The government delegate in Madrid, Mercedes González, said yesterday that

the Police are using "all the means available to them" to clarify the

homophobic

aggression

.

The police investigation has also been joined by agents of the Information Brigade on the hypothesis that the aggressors could have links with a radical right-wing group.

The COGAM and KIF-KIF collectives have called a rally for this Saturday, at 7:00 p.m., in Puerta del Sol in the face of the wave of attacks on LGTBI people.

"They are killing us" is the slogan of the protest.
