It is reported by The Hindustan Times.

The publication noted that of the 33 members of the new government of the republic, most of them are under UN sanctions.

For example, the newly elected Interior Minister Sirazhuddin Haqqani has been put on the FBI's wanted list: the department is ready to pay $ 5 million for information that will facilitate his capture.

Mullah Mohammad Hasan Akhund, who has been appointed acting prime minister of Afghanistan, is a close associate of the main Taliban founder, Mullah Mohammad Omar.

It is noteworthy that many of the new members of the republic's government held these positions earlier when the Taliban ruled Afghanistan in the 1990s.

It is planned to hold a meeting at the UN Security Council on September 21, 2021, where diplomats will decide on the extension of a special regime that allows part of the Taliban to avoid restrictive measures introduced against them.

The Taliban announced the composition of the new government on September 7.

The Front of National Resistance (FTS) of Afghanistan refused to recognize the new government.
