"They do not fully admit their guilt; in respect of the defendants, the term for extending the preventive measure in the form of detention in custody was established by a court order until December 17," TASS reports.

Earlier it was reported that the Moscow City Court rejected the complaint of the defense of the former deputy head of the Ministry of Education and Science Marina Lukashevich against her arrest in the case of major fraud. 

On July 6, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Marina Lukashevich was arrested in a fraud case worth over 50 million rubles.

On July 20, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin dismissed Lukashevich from the post of deputy head of the Ministry of Education and Science.
