Local and legislative elections in Morocco: an election with many uncertainties

Moroccans are called upon to renew the House of Representatives in Rabat, and to appoint municipal and regional councilors.
From the majority party in the legislative elections will come the future head of government, appointed by King Mohammed VI.

One of the challenges of this election is the future of the Lamp Party: after ten years at the head of the government, is the page of the Islamists of the PJD about to be turned?
What will be the score of his opponent in the government coalition, the RNI of Aziz Akhannouche, Minister of Agriculture, one of the greatest fortunes of Morocco, close to royal power.
In addition, this year the legislative elections, which take place every five years, fall at the same time as the municipal and regional elections (every six years).
At the level of the communes, the PJD until now ruled the largest cities in the country.
And there will inevitably be change in Casablanca - the largest, most populous and richest of Moroccan cities - since the outgoing mayor does not represent himself on the municipal council.
Another unknown: participation.
Analysts expect it to be weak.
Will the legislative elections benefit from the simultaneous organization of local elections?
Proximity issues tend to mobilize more, especially in small towns and villages where people vote for a known personality.
It is the first time in Morocco that the poll is organized on a Wednesday, and not a Friday.
The authorities therefore called on employers to make it easier for employees to vote by letting them be away time to slip a ballot into the ballot box.
