September 07, 2021 Iran has significantly increased, to date, the amount of highly enriched uranium produced as reported by the International Atomic Energy Agency (Aiea) and which was obtained in preview by France Presse.

According to estimates, Iran has raised its uranium stock to 60%, well beyond the authorized limit, according to the IAEA report.

Based on the estimates at the end of August, Tehran has increased the stock of enriched uranium to 60% (thus well beyond the authorized limit of 3.67%) to 10 kg against 2.4 kg in May;

while it brought that to 20% from 62.8 kg to 84.3 kg.

The Agency pointed out that Iran did not respond to questions regarding uranium found in 4 undeclared sites.

"Since February 2021, verification and surveillance activities have been seriously hampered by Iran's decision to limit inspections," writes the United Nations body.

The report will be presented next week by the IAEA Director General, Rafel Grossi.
