The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation revealed that the total number of skilled workers working in the private sector establishments at the state level reached 1.8 million male and female workers during the past year, a rate exceeding 37.4% of the total number of workers registered with the Ministry, which amounted to 4.8 million male and female workers. In detail, official statistics issued by the Information Systems and Labor Market Department at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation showed, finally, a remarkable increase in the total number of skilled workers in the private sector in the country, from 1.571 thousand male and female workers registered by the Ministry in 2019, to one million and 793 thousand male and female workers until the end of the year. Last year, a rate of more than 37.4% of the total number of workers in the private sector, which amounted to four million and 793 thousand male and female workers.

According to the statistics, the number of skilled workers registered in the private sector in the country, for the first time, exceeded its counterpart in the total number of low-skilled workers, which amounted to one million and 750 thousand male and female workers, with a rate of 36.5% of the total number of workers in the private sector, while the total number of registered workers was below the level of “Specialist” 679 thousand male and female workers, at a rate of 14.2% of the total private sector employment, and the number of “professional” workers reached 310 thousand male and female workers, at 6.5%, and finally, the total number of “technical” workers reached 262 thousand male and female workers, at a rate of 5.5%.

The statistics divided the employment registered with the ministry into nine professional levels, topped by the simple professions, which employ one million and 99 thousand male and female workers, or 22.92% of the total employment at the state level, followed by the level of “craftsmen in construction, extractive professions and other craftsmen”, which included one million and 64 One thousand male and female workers, at a rate of 22.19%, then “services and sales professions”, which included 722 thousand male and female workers, at a rate of 15%, while the level of “machine and equipment operators and assemblers” included 487 thousand male and female workers, at a rate of 10.16%, and “specialists in scientific topics” And technical and humanitarian” 449 thousand male and female workers, at a rate of 9.36%, followed by the level of “writing professions”, in which 413 thousand male and female workers worked, at a rate of 8.63%, and then “technicians in scientific, technical and humanitarian issues”, which included 328 thousand male and female workers, at a rate of 6.84 %, and "legislators, managers and business managers", which included 215,000 male and female workers, at a rate of 4.4%.48%, and finally the level of "skilled workers in agriculture, fishing and livestock", which included 15,000 workers, representing 0.32% of the total employment in the country.

With regard to the total manpower and establishments registered with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, according to economic sectors, the statistics showed that the construction sector has the most workforce with a total of 1.439 million male and female workers, at a rate of 30% of the total employment, followed by the trade and repair services sector with a total of 1.071 million, with a percentage of 22.34%, then the business services sector with a total of 727 thousand workers (15.16%), then the manufacturing sector with a total of 475 thousand workers (9.9%), and the transportation, storage and communications sector with a total of 329 thousand workers, representing 6.86% of the total registered employment.

126 thousand establishments

The statistics indicated that the total number of establishments affiliated with the trade and repair services sector amounted to 126,000, the construction sector registered 65,000, the business services sector recorded 35,000, the “manufacturing industries” 31,000, the social and personal services sector recorded 27,000, while the hotel sector recorded And restaurants are 23,000 establishments, “transport, storage and communications” are 22,000, “health and social work” are 4,000, “financial brokerage” are 3,000, and “fishing” are 3,000, and “education” is 2,000, and the same in “other sectors.” In addition to 1,000 facilities in the agricultural sector, and the same in the mining and quarrying sector.
