A special gift has arrived for a Spanish Taekwondo athlete who became a hot topic in the last Olympics with a black belt with Korean writing on it.



On the 6th local time, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Spain announced that it had presented a new black belt to Adriana Cerezo Iglesias, the women's 49kg silver medalist in taekwondo at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Cerezo caught the attention of Koreans with a black belt engraved with the awkward sentence 'Train hard, dream big', which seemed to be an automatic translation of 'Train hard, dream big (train hard, dream big)' at the last Tokyo Olympics. I did. 



On the 6th, Korean Ambassador to Spain Park Sang-hoon visited the Taekwondo gym where Cerezo athletes are training and presented the world's only 'special black belt' along with Korean cosmetics, masks, BTS and Blackpink albums.



On the black belt presented by the embassy, ​​the name of the athlete, 'Adriana Cerezo Iglesias', instead of 'train hard, dream big', 'train hard. Dreams big!'



Ambassador Park mentioned that Cerezo is nicknamed 'the marvelous girl (niña maravilla) in Spain,' and said that he hopes that he will grow into a wonderful taekwondo player and a good friend of Korea in the future.



Cerezo, who was handed the gift, said, "I will wear this belt and train harder. I like BTS, but thank you for presenting me with the latest album."
