Madrid The Police dismantles a faction of the Latin gang of the DDP in Madrid and detains 10 gang members
Spain Arrested in Zaragoza 24 members of the Latin band of the Dominican Don't Play
Agents of the National Police have arrested
223 members of youth gangs and have dismantled the 'choir of the Dominican Dont Play
(DDP) in the Corredor del Henares, the Higher Headquarters of the Madrid Police reported this Monday.
The arrests have been carried out in three parallel operations in different parts of Madrid as a result of several attacks carried out against rival gangs during the month of August.
Twelve of the detainees belong to the band of 'Trinitarios
, who are charged with the crimes of injury and belonging to a criminal organization.
The other eleven arrested made up the 'chorus' of the DDP in the Corredor del Henares and were dedicated to
committing attacks, threatening and extorting young people from the locality
to carry out robberies and robberies that would allow the financing of the criminal organization.
CARRIED OUT FALLS IN SEVERAL POINTS IN MADRID
The investigation began last August as
a result of several "falls" that part of the detainees, belonging to the Trinitarios gang, carried out against rival gangs.
One of the attacks took place in El Pinar de la Elipa park, in the Madrid district of Ciudad Lineal, where
a group of men attacked several young men with machetes
while they uttered slogans typical of the gang to which they belonged.
As a result of the attack, two young people, one of them a minor, suffered
serious injuries for which they remained admitted to hospitals
.
Between the 11th and 22nd of last month there were
three
other
attacks with machetes against rival gangs
of those arrested in different parts of the city, in which four young people suffered knife injuries for which they had to be hospitalized.
The investigations carried out by the agents allowed the identification of the alleged perpetrators of the 'falls' and
12 members of the Trinitarios have been arrested during the police operation,
to whom the crimes of injury and belonging to a criminal organization are charged.
THEY WANTED TO ESTABLISH IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS OF THE CORRIDOR
Within the same operation, the 'choir' of the DDP in the Corredor del Henares was dismantled,
arresting a total of 11 young people, seven of them minors
.
The investigation began when the researchers learned that the 'choir' of the Torrejón de Ardoz PDP intended to settle in the municipalities of the Corredor such as Alcalá de Henares, Azuqueca de Henares, Coslada, Mejorada del Campo, San Fernando de Henares, and
convert the entire area in 'black territory' by creating different 'blocks'
, that is, small structures within the organization.
The members of the 'choir' were organized forming
a hierarchical pyramidal structure in which there was a leader in charge of collecting fees
, marking the strategic lines of the band, determining actions and punishments, as well as assigning ranks among his subordinates.
In the second echelon of the organization there was a minor who was in charge of controlling the 'block' of minors that they had created in the town of Alcalá de Henares.
On another of the gang's rungs was
a young man in charge of executing the punishments set by the management
, usually beatings of minors who did not carry out the ordered robberies or who intended to leave the gang, and was also responsible for organizing the 'falls 'against rival gangs and to distribute the weapons supplied by the leader.
In addition, other roles in the band have been detected, such as
a person in charge of propaganda who was in charge of recording the attacks
and uploading them to social networks and even those in charge of exploring other urban areas in the Corredor del Henares and in the capital to create new 'choirs' .
The eleven arrested are charged with
the crimes of belonging to a criminal organization
, others belonging to a criminal group, coercion, robbery with violence, threats and against moral integrity.
The investigation and the operation have been carried out by the Provincial Information Brigade and the local information brigades from the Alcalá and Torrejón police stations.
