Seven months before the presidential election, the Prime Minister went to the Global Industrie fair in Lyon to praise the government's action in terms of recovery.

This plan he is vigorously deploying.

In just 12 months, he has already achieved the majority of his goals.

Almost 50 billion have already been committed.

And we will meet the $ 70 billion target by the end of the year.

Prime Minister Jean Castex

This recovery plan, I make sure that it does not forget any territory, any of our fellow citizens.

This is not advertising that I am doing here.

All the players know it.

The French realize this.

This does not mean that we must rest on our laurels, but it does mean that our collective efforts have paid off,

”he reassured.

A shock of reindustrialisation

In front of an audience of entrepreneurs, he spoke of the "

fifth industrial revolution in our history

 "

and made two important announcements.

The first concerns the six-month extension, until June 30, 2022, of aid from the France Relance apprenticeship plan.

Thanks to this plan, “

 the results are there

”, in terms of professional integration, the Prime Minister welcomed, pointing out a “

historical record

” of more than 500,000 apprenticeship or work-study contracts signed (525,600 young people in 2020, i.e. 42% more than in 2019).

Then he announced the addition of 150 million euros to the Territories of Industry program, which allows public aid to relaunch activities in the basins most affected by restructuring.

The share of industrial jobs represented "

22% of GDP in 1980, this rate fell to 13% in 2017

", and the number of employees in industry fell to 3.2 million against 5.3 in 1980, a- he said.

Its Minister of Industry, Agnès Pannier-Runacher, applauded by the audience, spoke out for “

a shock of reindustrialisation

 ”.
