This was reported on the channel's official website.

Video hosting blocked the release of an excerpt from a debate in which the leader of the Russian Party of Freedom and Justice (RPJJ) Maksim Shevchenko publicly called for the release of Alexei Navalny and "everyone who is subject to political repression."

The event was broadcast live by the Russia 1 TV channel.

"The state company notified YouTube that it has exclusive rights to this fragment of the debate, after which the platform, guided by its own rules, hid the story from the Dozhd YouTube channel," the channel's website says.

It is noted that at the same time, other videos, including those from the same debate, were not blocked.

The Russian Ministry of Justice previously reported that the grounds for including the Dozhd TV channel in the list of foreign media agents was that the channel received € 130,000 from the European Union, and also received foreign funding through Russian funds.

* Media recognized as a foreign agent by the decision of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation of 08/20/2021.
