Earlier it was reported that military rebels led by Colonels Mamadi Dumbuya detained the President of Guinea, Alpha Conde.
In his address to the citizens of Guinea, Dumbuya announced the arrest of the president, the dissolution of the government and parliament, the closure of borders, as well as the abolition of the current Constitution.
