Saudi defenses respond to "Houthi" attacks, two children were injured and 14 houses were damaged

The official spokesman for the Saudi Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, stated that the Saudi air defenses intercepted and destroyed (3) ballistic missiles and (3) booby-trapped drones launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia towards the eastern region, Jizan, and Najran.

Brigadier General Al-Maliki explained that the Saudi defenses intercepted and destroyed at (21:32) on Saturday evening (September 04, 2021 AD) a ballistic missile launched by the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia from Sanaa using civilian objects towards the eastern region of the Kingdom.

He added that the interception operation caused shrapnel to scatter over the neighborhood (Dammam Suburb), as a result of which a Saudi boy and girl were injured, and 14 residential houses were lightly damaged.

Brigadier General Al-Maliki stated that this barbaric and irresponsible behavior by the militias by trying to target civilians and civilian objects is incompatible with heavenly values ​​and humanitarian principles.

Brigadier General Al-Maliki stressed that the Ministry of Defense will take the necessary and deterrent measures to protect its lands and capabilities and stop such hostile and cross-border attacks to protect civilians and civilian objects, in accordance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules.
