The alarm about the accident came in just after eight on Sunday night.
There were major disturbances on the E4 in a southerly direction and the police were sent to the scene for control.
A woman in her 20s was taken by ambulance to hospital and a man in his 25s is suspected of drug driving and has been taken for testing.
The car is salvaged from the site and according to the Swedish Transport Administration, the traffic will be able to roll as usual again at 22 o'clock.
