The fighting continues in the Panshir valley, the last pocket of resistance to religious fundamentalists.

The Taliban have yet to announce the composition or details of the formation of their government.

They recently called on foreign embassies to relocate to the country.

This Saturday, September 4, Pakistani military intelligence chief Faiz Hameed was visiting Kabul.

He was to meet with senior Taliban officials.

Nothing filtered out on this visit or on the content of the discussions between Faiz Hameed and the Taliban representatives he is to meet.

This visit to Kabul, however, confirms the ties that Afghan Islamists maintain with Pakistan, because apart from the Qatari representatives, few countries are now showing themselves with the victors of the longest war in the history of the States - United.

Since the Taliban took power, the Pakistani government says it encourages the formation of an "

inclusive government

 ", which should "

include the representation of all ethnic groups

 ."

Islamabad thus encourages a government structure in which the basic rights of all citizens are protected.

Alliance Against the Pakistani Taliban

Pakistan has special ties with the Taliban who have had two representations there for many years: the

shura

of Quetta and that of Peshawar.

On the security front, Pakistan has a great interest in continuing to maintain good relations with its neighbor.

The border between the two countries is now equipped with a chain-link fence.

However, it

does not completely prevent crossings

.

The Pakistani authorities who are fighting several terrorist groups on its soil, such as the TTP, the Pakistani Taliban, certainly also want to ensure that Kabul will be its ally in this fight.
