After several years of political discussions, the Kulturkvarteret in Örebro was inaugurated today.

It was celebrated with music, a visit by the Minister of Culture and a new work of art made by the German artist, Stephanie Hannas, in collaboration with school classes in Örebro.

But the inauguration was held on a small scale, like so much else in corona times.

There are other plans underway.

- The arrangement is based on as many as possible being able to take part in the culture while we avoid congestion, says Henrik Andersson, production manager at Kulturkvarteret.

Starts with Live at heart

This will be done through free admission to various performances and activities for one year.

Already on Saturday, activities for children and free admission to the Kulturkvarteret's Live at heart stage began.
