It was a Tuesday in September like any other, right in the middle of the afternoon on this side of the Atlantic.

Some were in the office, others at home, and the younger ones in class.

At the time, no smartphone notifications.

But the call of a loved one, a discussion heard in the street or a flash on the radio pushed the whole of France to find a TV screen to see the unimaginable.

New York's World Trade Center towers in flames, on the verge of collapsing, after the attack by al-Qaeda.

Twenty years later, if the tragic events of September 11, 2001 have obviously remained engraved in the collective memory, they are also in individual memories.

Because each and everyone remembers this special day.

And you, where were you that day?

What were you doing ?

How did you learn about the attacks?

And how did you react?

Did you watch the special editions on television late into the evening?

Were you with family?

Have you called any friends to talk about it?

Tell yourself
