“We are working to increase the number of evacuees who will arrive in the United States to at least 50 thousand,” TASS quoted the American military leader as saying.

He added that currently 25,600 people are stationed in the country.

All refugees are provided with housing, food, water and medical care.

Bloomberg, citing a State Department spokesman, previously reported that the US presidential administration and private organizations will pay the evacuated Afghans $ 2,275 in financial aid. It is assumed that the funds will go to housing, food, basic necessities and education of children in school.
