The judge who has taken a statement from the father of Yéremi Vargas for another alleged crime of sexual abuse of the daughter of his ex-girlfriend has released him.

Juan Francisco Vargas was arrested early this Thursday for the complaint of the daughter of his former partner, who claimed to have been a victim of abuse a year ago.


Three days earlier the police had arrested him for the complaint of his 13-year-old daughter, who claimed that her father had abused her on Saturday night at his home, where she had gone to spend a few days with him.

After that first arrest, Vargas was released with charges and the magistrate imposed a restraining order on the girl.

Now, another judge, from San Bartolomé de Tirajana, has made the same decision after the girl, also 13 years old.

According to his account, the events occurred a year ago.

He is charged with a new crime of sexual abuse.

The magistrate has imposed a restraining order on the minor, has prohibited her from leaving the island, withdrawn her passport and obliges her to appear every Monday in court.

On this occasion, Juan Francisco Vargas is charged with a crime against sexual freedom and indemnity.

The young woman who has denounced him decided to take the step after it emerged that the daughter of Juan Francisco Vargas had taken him to the Police.

The alleged new victim filed the complaint in the town of Puerto del Rosario (Fuerteventura) and assured that he had suffered sexual abuse by Vargas.
