The Emirates Foundation for School Education has set next Thursday, the ninth of September, a deadline for accepting applications for registration or transfer of students in government schools for the current academic year.


Yesterday, on its account in Telegram, the Foundation called on parents of students wishing to register their children in government schools or transfer them, to submit their applications through the “Al-Manhal” website, and to review school principals about the mechanism of student registration or transfer.


The Foundation clarified that the minimum age for a student wishing to register in the pre-primary stage until August 31 is three years, in the first kindergarten four years, and in the second kindergarten five years.


The ages of students in the first grade ranged between six and eight years, in the second grade between seven and nine years, in the third grade between eight and ten years, in the fourth grade between nine and 11 years, in the fifth grade between 10 and 12 years, in the sixth grade between 11 and 13, and in the seventh between between 12 and 14, and eighth grade between 13 and 15.


In the ninth grade, the ages of students ranged between 14 and 16 years, in the tenth grade between 15 and 17, in the eleventh grade between 16 and 18, and in the twelfth grade between 17 and 19 years old.


On the other hand, the Foundation announced the extension of the period for accepting applications for leadership positions (school principal) for all academic levels at the state level until the 30th of this month.


The Foundation clarified the mechanism for submitting applications to fill vacancies in leadership positions, and their conditions on the website of the “Teach for the Emirates” initiative.


The Foundation has identified 38 vacant leadership positions in schools, including positions for teachers and school administrators, including 25 positions for school principals, in addition to a number of teaching positions, including kindergarten teacher (for citizens only), mathematics, English, science, physics, and music.


She stated that the minimum educational qualifications required for a school principal are a bachelor's degree (mainly), a master's or doctoral degree in education or educational leadership, or a professional certificate in educational leadership (preferably), specifying for each qualification a number of years of experience required.


The Foundation stressed the need for a number of advantages to be available in the applicant for the position of a school principal, including behavioral competencies (efficiency level 6), teamwork, empowering employees and developing their capabilities, communication and communication skills, leadership of change, focus on customer service, focus on results, and resource management. Effectively, think strategically.


Most of the public schools implemented the realistic education scenario during the first week of the study, in the first, second, third and fourth grades, provided that the school building is suitable, human resources are available, and precautionary measures are applied for social distancing. Schools that fall within the green group apply this type of education, provided that the various types of learning and duty are applied in real lessons, and the working hours are from eight until 2:20 for the first and second grades, and from 9:30 until 3:50 for the fourth and fifth grades .


The schools divided the students into two groups in the second scenario that applies hybrid education, and the two groups alternate attendance at school over a period of two weeks, with a week for each group.


The results of the re-exams


The Emirates Foundation for School Education directed the parents of “re-student” students to review the school administrations, to obtain more detailed information about the results of their children in the re-exams, noting that it had received, during the last period, several questions from parents of students regarding the results of the re-exams. Repeat exams.


The Foundation affirmed its constant keenness on the future of students and their support in accordance with its policy related to assessment and examinations, explaining that the issue is related to a specific number of students who were unable to pass the re-examinations.
