Two police officers intervened Wednesday in Morlaix, in Finistère.

They were called shortly before 6 p.m. by the manager of a Lidl store.

On the spot, the two officials first asked the man to calm down, then to present identity papers.

The latter was then "hyperviolent, punching and kicking" the police, says the police commander.

A few agents were then sent in as reinforcements.

He will be summoned by the Brest court

But on their arrival, the two police officers already present had finally succeeded in overpowering the man.

They were allegedly helped by customers from the store.

The officers then arrested him and he was taken into police custody.

The man has been described as a "born boxer" or an "anti-Macron and anti-system" by the police commander.

He was presented Thursday before the Criminal Court of Brest and should be summoned later.

In addition, four and six days of total temporary incapacity were prescribed to the two injured police officers, indicates the regional daily.
