Dals Ed raises the rainbow flag for the first time: "We have to keep up"

It is Dals Ed's public health council that has taken the initiative for the municipality to conduct a focus week on the theme of LGBTQI.

Since Monday, visitors have been able to take part in lectures and exhibitions on the subject.

Educational materials have also been sent out to the municipality's operations.

- We have not been on these issues so much before, and we need to learn more, says Martin Carling (C), chairman of the municipal board in Dals Ed.

Has been questioned

The ambition has been to broaden the knowledge both within the municipality's own activities but also among the general public.

And although most, according to Linda Blomgren, have been positive about the event, it has also been met with criticism.

- Not everyone is equally happy with this theme and have questioned that we do, says Linda Blomgren.

The theme week is carried out in collaboration with the Västra Götaland region, the study association ABF and RFSL Sjuhärad.
