The subject is far from reaching a consensus.

The government, following the defection of a certain number of members of armed groups who have decided to return to the CPC, has decided to take certain measures in relation to some of these groups

", explains Minister Jean-Willybiro Sako, l '' one of the representatives of the public authorities within the organizing committee of the dialogue.

The armed groups which participated in the CPC will therefore not have a voice, confirms Jean-Willybiro Sako.

“

During the consultation that took place before the actual preparation for the dialogue, everyone recognized that for the moment, we cannot involve these CPC member bodies in these various meetings.

"

The minister also recalls that the armed groups already have a framework for dialogue: the executive committee for monitoring the peace agreement.

But for the opposition their presence is on the contrary essential.

These armed groups which are currently in the CPC were yesterday the allies of power,"

recalls Sosthène Guetel, the current president of COD2020

.

It is essential that these armed groups are in an inclusive dialogue to say that this will not happen again.

Once we understand their problems, if we can find solutions, we find them, and we can no longer talk about armed groups in the Central African Republic.

This is our approach.

 "

In addition, Sosthène Guetel does not make the presence of François Bozizé a condition for the holding of this dialogue.
