She was also prosecuted for injuries to the fingers of an employee on the same winder, in April 2019. The company had been convicted of "manslaughter".

The prosecution underlined during the hearing in July both the lack of training and the non-compliance of the machine, and requested two fines.

This Thursday, the Colmar court rendered its decision.

The court condemned the company to a total of 95,000 euros in fine and will have to pay 30,000 euros in damages to the family of the deceased.
