“The best guarantee is just contracts with European companies, and we are now waiting for the promised so-called consultations at the technical level, but in fact it should be negotiations that the Germans should organize, and during these negotiations we will talk with specific European companies about specific contracts on gas transit through Ukraine, ”TASS quotes Vitrenko as saying on the air of the 1 + 1 TV channel.
According to him, such contracts are a guarantee of maintaining gas transit through Ukraine.
He noted that in case of violation of obligations by companies, Kiev will be able to appeal to European courts.
Vitrenko clarified that in his opinion, European companies will not violate contracts.
Earlier it became known that Ukraine and the United States oppose the launch of Nord Stream 2 and regard it as a threat to European energy security.
