China News Agency, Washington, September 2 (Reporter Sha Hanting) US President Biden issued a statement on the 2nd local time, saying that the Federal Supreme Court’s refusal to repeal the Texas abortion ban is an "unprecedented impact" on women's rights.

The U.S. Supreme Court refused to repeal the abortion ban imposed by Texas on the evening of the 1st with a result of 5:4.

Among the nine justices, Chief Justice Roberts and three liberal justices supported the abolition of the abortion ban, and the other five conservative justices opposed the abolition.

The law implemented in Texas this time stipulates that women are prohibited from having abortions after 6 weeks of pregnancy.

This is the strictest anti-abortion law since the Federal Supreme Court ruled that abortion is legal in 1973.

The law also stipulates that the public can actively seek and prosecute persons who "assisted or abetted" female abortions.

If the lawsuit is successful, at least US$10,000 will be awarded.

Biden said in the statement that the abortion ban in Texas is "too extreme," and even pregnancy caused by rape and incest is no exception.

The law will "create chaos and bad influence in violation of the Constitution."

Biden also said that the White House legal team is looking for a plan that will try to ensure that Texas women can have "safe and legal" abortions through federal agencies.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives Pelosi also issued a document on the same day condemning the Supreme Court's decision, saying it was a "violating constitutional blow to women's rights and health."

She also said that related bills will be voted on in the House of Representatives to protect all women's abortion rights.

In response to many oppositions, Texas Governor Abbott stated that abortion laws will not make the state unattractive to companies and individuals. In fact, many companies and individuals agree with Texas' position.

"At present, more and more companies are moving to Texas, and this number is rising, not falling." (End)
