　　The spokesperson of the Chinese mission to the European Union stated that the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, regardless of China’s persuasion, issued the so-called "EU-Taiwan Political Relations and Cooperation" report, openly advocating the promotion of EU-Taiwan relations, and the relevant content goes far beyond the EU and its member states’ dealings with Taiwan. The development of unofficial economic and trade cooperation, cultural exchanges and other areas seriously violates the one-China principle and undermines mutual trust and cooperation between China and Europe. China strongly opposes this.

　　The spokesperson emphasized that there is only one China in the world. The People’s Republic of China is the sole legal government representing the whole of China. Taiwan is an inalienable part of China. This is the accepted norms of international relations and the universal consensus of the international community. It is also the establishment of diplomatic relations and the development of bilateral relations between China and Europe.
